Purpose of the Job


As a Programe Director Locomotives, you will be responsible that our customer projects are all covered in the Program and delivered on time, in quality and cost.


Main responsibilities:


  • Ensure the customer projects covered in the Program are delivered within quality, time and cost
  • Ensure the transversal development projects required to enable delivery of locomotives to customers are delivered within quality, time and cost
  • Ensure integrity and consistency within the program by constantly mapping the roadmap for development projects with the requirements of the market provided by the Platform Organization
  • Lead and coach the Project Managers and Project Directors managing the projects covered in the program
  • Serve as escalation level for critical customer negotiations
  • Be responsible for the Program governance including alignment with the Regions of Destination
  • Ensure Alstom legal and contractual rights are protected

Main required competencies:


  • Master degree
  • 15 years experience as project manager in industry of which at least 5 years experience of medium critical projects
  • Experience of working in and with multinational companies and in different business cultures
  • Good communication skills
  • Team management (capacity to coordinate and ensure collaboration of multisite/multimetier teams)
  • Leadership, entrepreneurship mindset and result oriented
  • Good knowledge of Project Management processes
  • Good knowledge of railway products and systems
  • Conflict and crisis management
  • Project Construction Management (sites & services)
  • Ability to manage customer relationship
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Complexity management skills
  • Capacity to evolve in a political context
