The Senior Tax Specialist is responsible for the corporate tax responsibilities of the Group in Europe.

He will be responsible for the calculation of the tax provision including deferred taxes as well as the monthly reporting of the Group.

He will be enhancing the Tax Compliance Management System and support the Tax Manager with VAT topics as well as local tax audits.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Taxes responsible for the monthly tax provision including deferred taxes for the German legal entities of the Group. Responsible for the yearly filing of the CIT returns including communication with the tax authorities.
  • Permanent Establishments responsible for the set up and compliance of the European permanent establishments of the Group taking into consideration BEPS and TP requirements including communication with Key Stakeholders.
  • Tax Compliance Management System
  • Enhancing and setting up the TCMS for corporate tax
  • Tax Planning responsible for the quarterly tax planning including corporate reporting
  • Restructurings supporting the Tax Manager with restructurings of the Group in Europe
  • Tax audits supporting the Tax Manager with current tax audits including MAPs
  • Transfer Pricing supporting the Tax Manager with the Transfer Pricing Reports of the Group in Europe
  • VAT supporting the Tax Manager with VAT topics of the Group in Europe.
  • Projects supporting the Tax Manager with tax projects (DAC6, Pillar II)

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Tax or a related profession with a Mayor in Tax
  • Work experience in an international environment (international Groups or Big 4 consultancy)
  • Profound knowledge of corporate and international taxes
  • Profound knowledge on tax accounting, German GAAP and US GAAP
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Desirable requirements:

  • Transfer Pricing experience is advantageous
  • Proficiency in SAP is desirable
