This role would make you a part of our Powertrain Electrified Mobility (PEM) business unit.

In PEM we research, develop and test HV components and systems for the electric powertrain of hybrid and pure electric vehicles.

Your Mission for an Electrified Future

• In cooperation with the specialist departments, you will be responsible for material procurement for projects in the inverter product line (including mechanical and electrical components)
• You involve suppliers in the given project at an early stage and ensure ontime availability, e.g. of prototype parts, during the development phase
• You control costs and target achievement of procurement activities (e.g. material costs, tool costs compared to defined target costs)
• You control and develop your suppliers, refine scorecards and you are responsible for executive reporting
• You are responsible for all project procurement activities from the acquisition phase of the project until 6 months after SOP

Your Key to Success

• You have a degree in purchasing or mechanical/electrical engineering or industrial engineering
• You have at least 4 years of professional experience as a project buyer in the automotive industry, preferably in the powertrain sector
• You have excellent negotiation skills, assertiveness and very good communication skills
• Ideally, you have a good background in electronics and have already conducted negotiations in this area
• You are also fluent in English and have experience in an international working environment
