As the Managing Editor, you will work closely with our Head of Creative, Sebastian, to shape the direction and strategy of our editorial content at Kitchen Stories.

In this position, you have the opportunity to lead a team of talented, motivated editors as well as shape the tone and direction for our overall publication and position it for future success.

We have an exciting year planned ahead with new in-house product launches and promising partnerships, where your creative content will play a determining role in user engagement as well as brand positioning.

You will ensure that all content pieces coming out of Kitchen Stories are to the highest standards and consistently move the needle across all of our channels.

Tasks

You plan, organize and lead the daily execution of the editorial content and always keep an eye on seasonality, trends and food culture
You oversee editorial content performance and ensure traffic and engagement targets are met
You are a handson leader for your team and empower them to grow and reach new heights while providing them with the right resources and continuous feedback on their work
You review, edit and improve editorial content before it's published, ensuring it's adhering to the brand's identity and tone of voice
You are a natural at developing new and innovative ways of telling stories around food in order to attract and engage new and current audiences
You work together with our Product and Partner teams to ensure crossdepartmental collaboration and holistic content publishing across all platforms
You research and develop creative concepts, as well as write and edit recipes, articles and other contributions to our publications
You track, analyze and review performance of published content to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

You have experience working in an editorial team and are passionate about creating content around food; past experience in a foodrelated industry is a plus
You are an experienced writer and have a passion for creating appealing content for various platforms and mediums
You are a strategic and creative thinker and solve challenges proactively
You're excited to lead and steer a team of editors; previous leadership experience is a plus
You are passionate about helping your team succeed, and have the ability to coach and share constructive feedback
You have outstanding verbal communication and planning skills, and the ability to successfully collaborate with other departments
You have a basic understanding of collecting, analyzing and using performance data to affect change
You are selfmotivated and goaloriented, always thinking a step ahead, and not shy to try and propose outofthe box ideas to succeed
You speak and write German on the native level and have excellent English skills
