Anyone who designs architecture, renovates economically and sells high-performance products to their customers relies on dry construction and flooring systems from Knauf Gips KG.

The SOR Data Scientist is part of a project team with a global scope.

As a SOR Data Scientist, the focus is on support activities for production sites with regard to develop and integrate data structure and systems to provide process and quality data for process analysis and process analysis.

Furthermore, development of AI based systems to detect and report process failures, unusual behaviors and predictions of future process quality.

Your tasks:

Development, introduction and testing of new software modules for reporting, analysis and input of process data as part of an MES and cloud based systems
Project management, process analysis and international customer support in the area of software and data coupling
Preparation, evaluation and implementation of tests, training, training documents, and organization of national meetings with international teams
Creation of specific software templates for global use and customized statistical analysis of process & quality data with subsequent evaluation
Analysis and development of improvement measures in the field of gypsum production plants
Adaptation of existing control concepts as well as creation, testing and commissioning of model based control (MBC/MPC)
Development, testing and implementation of visualization concepts, video & AI based control systems & regulations, and smart sensor concepts for production plants

Your profile:

Completed degree in the field of electrical engineering, Information technology, Automation Technology or other relevant fields
5 years of relevant experience
Excellent PLC programming skills and good experience with HMI (Procon; Win CC)
Skilled in Python, HTML, or Matlab are a desirable
Excellent communication skills in Business English, combined with strong analytical thinking for problemsolving and decisionmaking.
