About the Job
As a design engineering intern in the research department KilbyLabs, you'll architect new next-generation TI products and make our customers' visions a reality.
You'll work on exciting technologies such as Gallium Nitride (GaN) and define, design, model, implement and document analog integrated circuits (ICs).
You'll have the opportunity to work in exiting areas like power management, high voltage, and three phase motor drives for automotive, industrial and home electronics markets.
Ideally you are available for an internship or Master thesis for 6 months starting in quarter 1, a longer duration or a start beginning of quarter 2 is also possible.
Some of your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Providing high-level analysis on chip architecture trade-offs to ensure spec compliance and superior performance at a competitive cost
- Participating in design reviews and creating the necessary design and product documentation
- Develop, simulate and verify required circuits to meet spec compliance
- Driving behavioral models
Minimum requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Master degree in Electrical Engineering or similar or in your final Bachelor studies with basics in Analog IC Design
Preferred qualifications:
- Basic experience in power management electronics
- Basic experience in CMOS analog design and control theory
- Basic experience with analog and mixed signal design tools (cadence virtuoso)
- Basic experience in stability analysis and compensation methods
- Basic understanding of semiconductor device physics
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Good listener and good verbal and written communication skills
