YOUR CONTRIBUTION


As Head of Alliance Management (M/F/d) you are responsible for managing the alliance of our strategic partners: The alliance management plays a critical role in the setting of the alliance governance model and the continuous supervision of the processes and results of the partnership.

You deal with the complex alliance between internal and external stakeholders to meet corporate and alliance objectives to form long-term, value creating business relationships.

Monitoring the contractual obligations of our strategic partners like milestone payments, resolving issues in case of different interpretation of the contract

Establishing preparation and management of governance and decision-making meetings between strategic partners and Merz Therapeutics (e.g., Joint Steering Committee, and others)Defining and reporting of KPIs and leading periodic health checks of the alliancesLeading efforts between internal stakeholders and strategic partners for increased mutual understanding and trustActing as the ambassador of the alliance at the partner and within the own organizationIdentifyng and focusing on value drivers and mitigation of key risksParticipating in various projects as well as searching and evaluating of external innovation opportunities that complement Merz Therapeutics strategy

  • Facilitating strategic PMI projects and negotiation of contractual matters with strategic partners and management of project leads

YOUR PROFILE
University degree in natural science, economics or MBA

  • Further training in company valuation and project management as well as experience in leading cross functional teamsMinimum of 10 years pharmaceutical / biotech experience, with minimum of 3 years work experience in partner management, business development, licensing, strategic planning, R&D, commercial, legal, finance or manufacturingDemonstrable abilities to translate complex contract terms and conditions into strategic and operational elements for both internal and external parties
  • Experience in contract management and due diligence processes
Fluent in English, multilingual is a plus
Great presentation skills and strong interpersonal and motivational skills to work cross-functionally and to effect people without direct authority
