, Permanent**The Technical Innovation (TI) Team is looking for an experienced "Technical Innovation Partner" (M/F/d). Whilst the role is not limited to any specific technology only, the primary focus will be on Sustainability especially Offshore Biodiversity topics.


As TI Partner (M/F/d) - Sustainability & Biodiversity you will manage a portfolio of technical innovation projects and initiatives and act as the main interface for sustainability related topics within Technical Innovation and Engineering teams.


Your future plans

  • Support the Team Lead Technical Innovation and Senior TI Partner in managing Innovation work in renewables technologies, esp. with a focus on sustainability & biodiversity related innovation and engineering topics
  • Work with TI team to develop a business and value focused TI strategy and plan for agreed topic areas, in close cooperation with experts and key stakeholders in the business
  • Drive and manage sustainability & biodiversity
  • Actively work and align with the Sustainability and Engineering team and other key internal and external stakeholders incl. senior levels, e.g. drive the development and execution of a strategic sustainability framework related to engineering topics
  • Develop an ambitious, but realistic Innovation roadmap that support the overall RWE RES Sustainability framework
  • Identify, prioritize, manage and ensure execution of activities (e.g. innovation projects, pilots) to deliver against the roadmap and strategy in close cooperation with the Chief Engineers and respective discipline experts
  • Project Portfolio & Project Management
  • Create and assess new project ideas, seek to share best practices and exploit synergies across the RWE Group
  • Communicate proactively and effectively within RWE, promote TI and manage key RWE stakeholders
  • Deliver against TI project plan (budget, time, quality, HSE), extract maximum benefit from the results and ensure transition into business role out
  • Ensure reporting and provide support for project managers, where appropriate
  • Manage a TI project, i.e. taking the role as Project Manager and/or manage external service providers
  • Manage and promote knowhow development and protection, incl. IP

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university degree in engineering, natural sciences, marine biology or comparable ideally with energy technology experience
  • Minimum 5+ years working experience, preferably with experience in sustainability especially marine biodiversity related areas
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and technical skills are essential to understand a broad and complex range of topics
  • Very good knowledge of global sustainability trends of relevance to the Renewables sector, as well as frameworks and tools such as Life Cycle Assessments or Carbon Footprints is of advantage
  • Understanding of applied project management principles, processes and techniques is required
  • Experience of building, motivating and coordinating strong goalfocused networks or project teams to deliver change
  • Very good communication, interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills at senior levels with an ability to flex style
  • Commercial judgement that is results oriented, openminded and able to spot possibilities in uncertain and complex environments
  • Selfdirecting, working independently and able to identify key priorities in new challenges and plan and prioritise work accordingly
