- Develop firmware for Glucose Measurement Devices and Insulin Pumps
- Design and implement communication architecture ensuring patient safety as well as cyber security and data privacy for our highly integrated devices
- Design and implement highly integrated embedded software executed on microcontrollers
- Collaborate on design, development and integration of unit tests and related SW infrastructure
- Ensure high quality and consistent software development using our CI/CD DevOps toolchains
- Investigate the use cases, system-level operation, and performance requirements for our firmware
- Engage in risk assessments on cybersecurity & safety by growing your knowledge on international standards and best practices
- Learn about diabetes and chronic disease treatment using digital capabilities
- Degree in computer science or equivalent technical knowledge in embedded software development
- Solid programming experience using C, C++, assembly or similar
- Broad knowledge on Bluetooth communication ideally incl CGM/IDS-profiles
- Broad knowledge on cybersecurity for embedded devices
- Knowledgeable on structured software development and/or object modeling to author, maintain, and debug software components
- Experience with collaboration tools and environments like Git, Jira, etc.
- Strong personal skills in demonstrating SW designs and patterns
- Knowledge in state of the art principles for cybersecurity and data privacy.
- Intimate knowledge of DevOps & CI/CD and the related tools & methods
- Familiar with medical device regulations or similar standards
- Experience building and commercializing wireless connectivity products.
- Fluency in German and English

We're looking for a hands-on embedded software engineer (m/f/d) who will have a significant impact on software development. You will be involved in the design and development of some of the most cutting edge software powering connected devices. The ideal candidate will have embedded system technical knowledge with a focus on building high quality, safe software that delivers great consumer products that helps millions of people manage their diabetes on a daily basis.
