Position Summary
The HR Administrator is responsible for all generalist HR administration in connection with the employee life cycle, across all companies and departments in Germany.
Main Responsibilities
- To act as first point of contact for receiving and signposting HR-related enquires on staff-related policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, and staff benefits.
- To provide clear and informative written responses on a range of general HR enquiries.
- Provide accurate and timely communication, ensuring that information and responses are given in accordance with HR policies and procedures, staff information and guidance.
- Provide a range of HR administration activity related to a variety of changes within the employee life cycle e. g. payroll, issuing terms and conditions of employment, changes to terms and conditions, producing notes of hearings and preparing letters.
- To support internal forums e. g. employee forum, the apprentice self-organised group and the charity committee by circulating the agenda and ensuring that all relevant paperwork is provided and accurate, collecting actions from these meetings.
- Process, track, and check monthly HR invoices.
- Provide regular support to the wider HR team in relation to the administration management of the HR intranet pages and updates, including guidance, policy, communication, and information.
- To offer day to day administration and support to the HR team on a variety of HR activity e. g. investigation or hearing note taking.
- Manage, store, use & maintain 'personal data' ensuring compliance with the Council's privacy policies and data protection in accordance with GDPR.
- Support with HR policy work and ad hoc projects within HR & OD as required by the business and the team.
Skills/Experience
- Experience of working in a HR Department
- Ability to plan, organise and work at pace is required.
- High level of proficiency in working with MS Office (excel, word)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Desirable experience of working with a HR database.
