Thesis Objective:

LoA define the degree to which a device or system accomplishes a function that was previously, or conceivably could be, carried out by a human operator.

A novel taxonomy to define LoA has been developed within the team and has to be scientifically validated to be used for the design of the Future Combat Air System.

The primary objective of this internship is to validate this taxonomy and demonstrate its relevance for different use cases.

You will conduct in-depth research to understand existing taxonomies, collaborate with experts to define appropriate LoA for various systems, and design experiments to assess the usability and effectiveness of the proposed taxonomy.

Through this thesis project, you will help Airbus Defence and Space optimize the integration of automation, ensuring seamless cooperation between humans and autonomy.
