- Develop and update demand forecasts for specific product lines, utilising historical sales data, market trends, and insights from the sales and marketing departments.
- Engage with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather essential data for informing demand forecasts and production planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and analyse demand patterns to identify risks and opportunities for optimizing inventory management.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure timely delivery of materials necessary for production.
- Lead regular cross-functional meetings to discuss demand forecasts, address supply chain issues, and devise action plans for identified discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain KPIs to track the accuracy of demand planning, inventory turnover, and other relevant supply chain metrics.
- Initiate and lead projects aimed at improving the processes, systems, and tools used in demand planning.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that could affect demand forecasts and supply chain operations.
- Regularly report to management on demand planning activities, inventory status, and overall supply chain performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related fields; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles, ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated ability in managing demand forecasts, optimising inventory levels, and enhancing supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with demand planning software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex data and generating actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills, adept at managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Fluent in both English and German; additional language skills are beneficial.
