» Your tasks:


  • Investigation of molecular resistance mechanisms in refractory leukaemias and lymphomas
  • Development of in vitro assays and murine tumour models, e.g. for preclinical validations
  • Writing scientific publications and presenting research results at national and international congresses
  • Participation in the routine organisation of a scientific laboratory

» Your Profile:


  • Great interest in immunological topics
  • Very good knowledge of molecular genetic and cell biological methods
  • Willingness to work with animal experiments is mandatory (ideally FELASA B certificate available)
  • Experience in publishing and presenting scientific work is desirable
  • Good organisational skills, structured work
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of common laboratoryassociated statistical and analytical programmes
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English

» Your future in detail:


Our laboratory is located in the Cologne Cluster of Excellence "Cellular Stress Responses in Aging-Associated Diseases" (CECAD) and is embedded in an interdisciplinary research environment that offers interactions with researchers and clinicians at the University of Cologne, the Centre for Integrated Oncology ABCD (CIO), the Centre for Molecular Medicine (ZMMK).

Belonging to Clinic I for Internal Medicine, our research group has many years of experience in the study of apoptosis signalling pathways and resistance mechanisms in B-cell lymphomas.

Our goal is to use the findings of our research to develop new therapeutic approaches that will significantly improve the treatment of cancer patients in the future.
