Duration: 6 months from april or october 2024

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week

As part of our long-term strategy, METRO is increasingly becoming a Multichannel Fulfillment Center (MFC) provider. This has major implications for the processes in our stores. In this role, you will analyze existing local situation and processes, design new ones and support the international rollout.

You will focus on design new processes and develop new methods regarding Stock Location System, Staff Planner and Task Management to transform the stores into multichannel fulfilment centers.

You will work together with the team to the international rollout of these new concepts.

To this end, you will work closely with the project managers of our METRO/makro countries as well as global interfaces.

You will promote standardization and follow-up KPIs performance related to productivity and store operations.


Requirements for the intern:

  • You have passion for stores and willing to gain expertise in Operations
  • You are passionate about transformation processes, project management and process design.
  • You are a good communicator who can win/influence people and convince them at operational and board level.
  • You work analytically and in a structured way.
  • You are willing to live/relocate to Dusseldorf and travel internationally

Qualifications

  • You are currently enrolled in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a comparable field of study
  • Preferably, you have gained initial experience in Supply Chain, Store Operations
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially in Word and Excel
  • Fluent English language skills
