The Market Operation and Risk (MR) unit is the hub of all operations supporting our Trading and Origination activities, and Asset Management for Europe & US.

The department is responsible for all processes and operations in the Back Office Europe & US, Risk Management, New Products & Investment Support, and the Digitalisation Office.

The responsibility of the department is to ensure accurate and high-quality results in all operational activities to support Statkraft growth ambitions.

The Continental Metering Business Operations (MRO) department is the process engine for all metered business activities in Germany, Iberia, France, Italy and Poland, and possibly more continental markets to come.

The team is an important contributor of the deal entry to payment value chain of a contract, ensuring accurate validation of all contract parameters, master data and contract configurations, balance and contract settlement, invoicing & accrual processes, payment preparation & P&L calculation.

This department has important interfaces and deliveries to our New Products and Investment Support unit, EU Regulatory Reporting, Revenue Operations, Certificate Management and many other different departments in the Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal areas.


You will establish and lead an international team who will be the interface between MRO/ MRB delivered services and the internal and external stakeholders in the respective market (the respective Front office Team as well as external counterparties).

The provided services will be newly established in MRO and are designed in order to continuously improve and optimize the MRO delivered services in a market centric approach.

The team will be co-located with the respective Front office teams in the different geographies (e.g. Spain, France, Germany). Your teams will drive the continuous improvement journey for our counterparties by understanding operational requirements and coordinating smoot delivery


Your role:


You will be part of the MRO Management team and in this role ensure proper delivery of end-to-end services within MRO and beyond as well steer initiatives towards strategic improvement.

We also expect you to proactively engage within the Statkraft organization to drive change and enlarge Statkraft capabilities for profound decision making.


Your tasks will include:

  • Leading the activities in diverse markets and geographies, you guide and support your local teams, delivering locally adapted services while ensuring common standards and establishing synergies
  • Lead a team of market centric specialists for metered contracts in the respective markets
  • Support Front Office in contract setup as well as with NPAI requests by balancing the implementation requirements upfront and proposing best practice approaches
  • Discuss and advise upon full PnL cross system towards Front Office
  • Coordinate deliveries of all respective Back offices towards Front Office
  • Lead the counterparty operational interaction across all respective markets and propose continuous improvements toward counterparties
  • Train new team members and ensure the right balance of market centric localisation and common standards cross market
  • Engage with experts within and outside the company best practice implementation

Qualifications:


About you:


  • Excellent university degree in Economics, Engineering or Science.
  • At least 510 years of experience within the electricity industry with profound understanding of Origination Business
  • Relevant leadership experience within projects and/or line organisations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different market requirements
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset
  • Very proactive way of working.
  • Business fluent language skills in English, further language skills e.g.

Spanish, Italian, French are of advantage
