Job Description:


Background:


Automated Valet Parking (AVP) systems are among the first L4 automated driving systems that are under rapid development in the automotive industry.

Within FOCETA, a publicly funded project by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, DENSO has been leading the development of an AVP use case virtually.

Our efforts include implementing state-of-the-art functional components, establishing simulation-based testing platforms, and integrating advanced verification and validation techniques from project partners.

By the end of the FOCETA project , we aim at demonstrating a disciplined, effective, and efficient continuous engineering process for developing a performant and safe AVP system.

Main tasks are to assist our AVP use case development in:

  • implementing software functional components of the AVP system
- establishing of the virtual testing platform in a simulator
- integrating various verification and validation techniques including a runtime monitor for object detectors


Qualifications:


  • Field of study: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Good programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Matlab
  • Good knowledge in computer vision and deep learning
  • Basic knowledge in systems engineering, automated driving systems (ADS) and simulation environments for AD
