  • Willingnes for teaching in German and English. Commitment in teaching activities in Bachelor
- and Master studies in Mathematics, Mathematics in Finance and Industry and Data Science as well as teaching service for students in engineering sciences.

  • We expect first activities in acquiring thirdparty funding.
  • We expect potential connections to the priority research areas of TU Braunschweig. Research links to further mathematical institutes are desirable. We expect that you are open minded with respect to coordinated research activities in the scientific environment of TU Braunschweig.


International research and teaching experience, excellent command of the English language, as well as the ability and willingness to teach courses in English are a prerequisite.


Individual career decisions and career breaks due to parental/family care leave affecting research output will be taken into account by the appointment committee.

Requirements, - 30 NHG

Requirements for employment according to - 30 NHG. The junior professuorship is limited to a three year term initially. In case of a positive intermediate evaluation, the position is extended for another three year term.

According to the tenure track regulations of TU Braunschweig () the junior professorship will become a permanent professorship (W2 salary) in case of a positive final evaluation.
