YOUR CHALLENGE:

As our new Plant Controller you will be playing a key role in ensuring a financially healthy factory.

In this nice "financial spider in the web role", you will be taking care of planning and coordinating the plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices.

You are the first contact and sparring partner for the management with regards to all kinds of financial matters. As a key member of the Plant management team you demonstrate financial leadership. You will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance.


You will be reporting to the Plant Director and functionally you will report to the Global Operations Controller who is based in our Corporate HQ in The Netherlands.

Fluency in both German and English will be key in this role.

Our manufacturing base includes 12 production facilities across China, India, Brazil and Europe.

One of our European sites is in Germany, in Olbersdorf (close to both the Czeck and Polish border). At this production facility, our 90+ colleagues make top level products for the EMEA region.


MAIN JOB DETAILS:


  • Taking care of all the business controlling activities in the plant
  • Act as a Business Partner of the Plant Director. That entails timely submission of business data, i.e. KPI, cost variance analysis and to provide support in business decision making process
  • Continuously improve the financial processes as well as the controlling tools, KPI dashboards and reports
  • Ensure that objectives are achieved in compliance with Hyva guidelines and policies
  • People management: 1 direct report performing monthly financial close, billing, AP, payroll review, fixed asset maintenance, reconciliations, and balancing plant intercompany
  • Continuous financial analysis using production KPIs to ensure plant profitability is constantly being maximized
  • Manage monthend closing and prepare monthly financial and operational reports for plant
  • Analyze financial variances and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions
  • Responsible for financial analysis of the investment decisions (CAPEX) initiated by Plant Management.
  • Ensure financial controls are in place for P&L, Inventory, Fixed assets and NWC
  • Preparation of monthend reports to track Plant costs, coordination of monthly and yearly closing process.
  • Responsible for accurate product costing to ensure accurate valuation of inventories.
  • Prepare Budget and Forecast of P&L, BS, CF and NWC for the Plant.
  • Support Plant Director with insight and analysis to enable a more profitable facility
  • Lead, Organize and Support projects in the plant for favourable impact to the bottom line

ABOUT YOU:


  • Your professional qualifications
  • University Degree, likely in Finance/Accounting/Mathematics
years experience in business controlling, preferably in manufacturing company

  • Solid financial management experience with strong budgeting background to facilitate development of the annual business plan
  • Good Knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS standards
  • Experience working with ERP systems, high affinity for IT
  • Understands advanced management accounting concepts, Activity based costing, Target costing, Value chain analysis.
