The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg, Germany is the largest solar research institute in Europe.

We contribute to this through our main research areas of energy provision, energy distribution, energy storage and energy utilization.

For our team "Conductive Adhesive Ahesives" we are looking for a research associate ("wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter/in") as soon as possible.


You want to actively shape the energy transition and be part of a highly motivated team? Our projects on the interconnection and module integration of solar cells take photovoltaic modules to the next level of efficiency.

With us, you will work as a scientist on the realization of this goal. Together we develop carefully manufactured conductive bonded photovoltaic modules in shingle technology and with wire interconnection.

We realize first prototypes and complete pilot productions of photovoltaic modules based on modern PERC, TOPCon, HJT and tandem solar cells.

In addition, we are developing new solution approaches to increase productivity, further reduce costs and environmental impact. The focus of your activities will be the agile project management of our research projects.


What you will do

  • Du leitest agile Projekte in unserem Team und führst diese zum Erfolg.
  • Dein Fokus liegt auf der Zufriedenheit von Partnern und Kunden mit der Qualität der im Projekt geleisteten Arbeit.
  • Du erforscht tiefgreifende wissenschaftliche Fragestellungen auf dem Gebiet des leitfähigen Klebens und bearbeiten diese in Theorie und Experiment.
  • Du entwickelst Dein Wissen auf dem Gebiet des Klebens kontinuierlich weiter und nutzst Dein Wissen, um eigenständig Impulse in den Projekten zu setzen.
  • Du berichtest über die Projektergebnisse auf Projekttreffen und wissenschaftlichen Konferenzen.
  • Du publizierst in peerreviewed Journals und meldest relevante Patente an.
  • Du bist maßgeblich an der Bearbeitung von Anfragen zum Thema leitfähiges Kleben in Photovoltaikmodulen beteiligt und übernimmst die Kommunikation mit Partnern.
  • Du betreust Diplomanden und Praktikanten.

What you bring to the table

  • Du hast ein wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium im technischen oder naturwissenschaftlichen Bereich abgeschlossen.
  • Du hast bereits fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in der Photovoltaik erworben.
  • Du verfügst über Erfahrungen im Projektmanagement und in der Projektleitung sowie über hohe soziale und kommunikative Kompetenzen.
  • Du verfügst über einschlägige Erfahrungen im wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten von der Planung über die Durchführung bis zur Auswertung und Präsentation der Ergebnisse. Idealerweise hast Du auch Erfahrung mit wissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichungen und Präsentationen.
  • Du planst vorausschauend und setzen die richtigen Prioritäten, um wissenschaftliche Projekte zu einem erfolgreichen Abschluss zu bringen.
  • Du kannst dich sicher in deutscher und englischer Sprache ausdrücken.
