With a current headcount of 30 in Frankfurt and a vision to attract, develop and retain the most talented people within the industry, we are looking for the new role of HR Generalist to join our team.

The role would suit a HR professional who is enthusiastic to be involved in a wide range of HR responsibilities and be part of the exciting growth ahead.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Provide a comprehensive HR advisory service to all managers and staff to ensure that the company follows best practice in the management of its staff and to ensure compliance with legal requirements of all HR related issues
  • Work with the Global HR Director/UK HR team to promote and develop HR policies and
procedures, both locally and globally

  • Key point of contact for all employee relations cases (including but not limited to), performance management, disciplinary, grievances, family friendly related, absence management, employee wellbeing, compliance
  • Provide advice and facilitate/chair meetings with regards to performance management and development
  • Advising and supporting managers with the recruitment selection and strategies, as well as developing and managing recruitment campaigns
  • Manage and provide accurate payroll information, encompassing starters, leavers, maternity, promotions and transfers etc. to the Finance team to ensure that payroll deadlines are adhered to
  • Work closely and build relations with the line managers in order to influence the adoption of best practice management techniques and adherence to HR policies and procedures
  • Support and drive a variety of HR projects in conjunction with the Global HR Director to support the business needs
  • Ensure comprehensive HR records are maintained in accordance with our company policy and legal requirements, (HRIS management)
  • Assist Global HR Director with a review of the employee benefits offering for Germany
  • Assist with yearly salary and bonus review processes as required
  • Support the team with appraisal/performance process, ensuring all departments are adhering to the procedure
  • Working with the Global HR Director/UK HR Team in driving Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within the employment lifecycle and work with the business to raise awareness and best practice
  • Support and assist the Operational Office Lead to ensure the administration function of the office operates smoothly and effectively.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:


  • Provide advice and guidance, coordinate and process employee relations issues including: disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management, restructures and employment termination.
  • Assist as and when necessary with any disciplinaries and grievances, including ensuring all records are kept in line with employment law guidelines, and providing practical advice to line managers/individuals
  • Assist line managers to address performance management issues (including monitoring performance improvement plans, capability and disciplinary actions, absence and terminations)
  • Coach line managers on an individual basis on how to deal with complex employee issues
  • Manage the full life cycle of Employee Relations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Experience of working in a multi tasked and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrable previous experience within an HR environment, acting as a knowledgeable and trusted adviser
  • Experience of being able to analyse and monitor data
  • Must be experienced working at a generalist level
  • Experience of owning the full employee lifecycle
  • Experience of handling ER cases, including: advising on performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and termination of employment
  • Good understanding of Germany employment law and legislation
  • Passionate about driving Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Ability to design clear and fair company policies
  • Hands on experience with HR systems (R&M HRIS is Workday)
  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly
  • Able to work, write and speak in German and English
  • GDFP qualified favoured, but not essential

INTERNAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for assisting with compliance to Reed & Mackay's certification programmes and policies
