Driven by the evolving geo-political changes we work on varied and interesting topics in the challenging area of export control in a globally operating company.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Monitor legal changes in German, EU and US (re)export control and sanctions law, analyze and implement them in our internal rules and processes. Includes the definition of necessary processes or process adjustments, initiation of the implementation in relevant export control tools, adjustment of the Internal Control Program Export Control (ICP EX) as well as the communication to the export control colleagues
  • Proactively drive the further development of our internal export control processes and implement them
  • Advise the export control business partners of the Siemens Energy units worldwide on all issues relating to German, European and U.S. export control law
  • Prepare and conduct training sessions for our export control colleagues worldwide

What You Bring

  • Degree in law or business law
  • Many years of professional experience in foreign trade law/ export control in an internationally operating industrial company or a consulting firm
  • Indepth expertise in national, European and US (re)export control law (EAR, OFAC regulations)
  • Able to present complex (legal) issues in an easily understandable way and develop practiceoriented processes
  • Get actively involved, develop new ideas and follow them through to implementation.
  • A responsible, structured, solutionoriented and reliable way of working
  • A team player and enjoys working in an international environment
  • Fluent in English and German

About the Team


Within the international Export Control Organisation of Siemens Energy we are a small team with colleagues located in Erlangen and Munich.

As a central function we are responsible to implement the legal requirements into our internal processes and tools to ensure that Siemens Energy complies with all applicable export control and sanctions regulations globally.
