In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Dive into the realm of real-time data processing, data mining, and visualization for cutting-edge medical products in ophthalmology
  • Design and develop medical software
  • Craft technical specifications and designs, ensuring documentation is topnotch
  • Bring prototypes and final products to life through testing and realization
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON (you must meet at least three of these criteria):

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics
  • Expertise in computer vision, image processing and analysis in Python or Matlab and implementation skills in C / C++
  • Proven track record in designing modularized, testable software
  • Indepth knowledge of software architecture and algorithm design
  • Experience with multithreaded/parallel and distributed programming
  • Proficiency in developing performancecritical and safetycritical algorithms and code
  • Fluent English (oral and written)

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Mastery of C / C++ coding with a deep understanding of design patterns
  • Familiarity with machine learning, openCV and GPU programming (pyTorch, tensorflow,)
  • Excellent understanding of networking protocols and technologies
  • Experience with module testing, test automation, scripting, and tools
