Fixed Income Financing and Money Market Sales

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

As a Barclays Fixed Income Financing and Money Market Sales, you will provide secured financing to institutional clients across a wide range of products including G10 Sovereigns/Supras, covered bonds, Corporate Credit Bonds, Emerging Market Bonds, and Securitised Products.

Your primary function is to provide leverage to a well-established client franchise by lending cash or securities - either through a repurchase agreement or margin lending agreement.

What will you be doing?

Providing shortterm fixed income coverage to an extensive list of clients including but not limited to, Repo, ECP, MTNs, government bills and deposits
Acting as an extension to the senior sales force
Giving assistance and backup coverage for a wide range of clients including Banks, Asset Managers and Securities Lenders
Leading and accounting for several entities across many regions and currencies
Dealing with a high number of time sensitive trades and a high volume of daily trades
Fielding incoming client enquiries and proactively approaching clients with trade ideas and colour
Liaising with Legal documentation teams to ensure trading documentation (e.g., GMRA / GMSLA) are delivered in a timely manner

What we're looking for:

Basic knowledge of regulation and how it impacts the repo and security lending market including Basel III, FSB work streams on Shadow Banking, FTT and CSDR
Exposure to fixed income and derivatives markets
Bachelor's degree
Proficient with Excel, Bloomberg, VBA, or other coding experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

Excellent work ethic with the ability to perform under pressure
Exceptional analytical, social, and organisational skills
Ability to maintain and prioritise numerous projects simultaneously
Ability to work with people across various desks and possess experience in fixed income and derivative products

Our new Frankfurt office is based in the heart of the new business district in the Taunus Turm.
