Allianz has recently launched Solvd GmbH (Solvd), a one-stop-shop for insurers providing a leading global claims platform, allowing to connect to state-of-the-art service providers as well as taking advantage of a digitalized and automated claims journey.

Solvd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allianz SE and based in Munich.

It will be distributing, implementing, operating and further enhancing its digital claims platform for both domestic as well as international insurance companies within and outside the Allianz Group.


Only one single interface is required for insurance companies to connect with the Solvd platform and getting access to a whole world of leading tool and services offered by Allianz-owned organizations and best-in-class third party providers.

Solvd strives to continuously improve the customer journey by adding additional services aiming to increase claimant satisfaction as well as efficiency and effectiveness for insurance companies.


To strengthen its team, Solvd is looking for an experienced Information Security Officer who will implement the Allianz Group Information Security Framework (GISF) safeguarding and ensuring the continuity of customer services and business operations by protecting Solvd against business, IT and non-IT disruptions, and the ability to recover in an efficient and effective manner.


What you do

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will steer implementation and monitor ongoing operations on topics related to protection and resilience as well as information security within all areas of Solvd GmbH and respective portfolio companies.

Working closely with the Head of IT Platforms and Group Protection and Resilience, you will advise and provide recommendations on information security topics (e.g. User Access Management, Information Classification, System Operations, Trainings, etc.).

You will act as the single-point-of-contact and trusted advisor on all Information Security matters in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Your responsibilities will include

  • Coordinate and run governance and steering activities around Information Security to maintain targeted compliance and maturity levels
  • Exercise a pragmatic approach to implementing Allianz Group policies and standards across Solvd and its majority owned entities
  • Support and guide the development teams through the development and operations process and help them to implement modern and secure products
  • Identify, assess, manage and monitor information security risks related to the Solvd GmbH and it's portfolio companies in line with defined methodologies, including IT, cyber and supplier risk
  • Ensure that vulnerabilities and incidents with regard to business activities and systems can be identified, tracked and resolved in a timely manner
  • Define and deliver a cybersecurity culture and awareness program for employees and partners
  • Provide regular Security reporting to Clevel and Board of Directors, to allow executives to take informed decisions and steer the security strategy

What you bring

  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT, Management / Business Information Systems or related field is required
  • 610 years of significant, professional experience in information technology and a high level of understanding of contemporary hardware and software architectures
  • Deep knowledge of current security technologies and practices (e.g. IS Compliance / Risk Management, Network, System and Application Security, Vulnerability / Penetration Testing and other security practices)
  • Good understanding of modern software architecture (e.g. eventdriven and microservice architecture) and cloud computing (AWS account setup / architecture, Kubernetes etc.) including security and data privacy pattern / pitfalls, of international standards and best practices (e.g. ISO27001, ITIL, COBIT, CSA) and regulatory requirements related certifications in Information Security (e.g. CISM, CRISC, CISA, CISSP) are a plus
  • Experience with DevSecOps best practices, Data Privacy, Risk Management, Governance and Compliance in Financial Services or other regulated industries are a plus
  • Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English as a native speaker
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office packages
