What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to shape the overall Commercial strategy and function as the voice for Commercial in all day-to-day activities, e.g. preparing business reviews, preparing presentations for external and internal events, keeping track of the meeting schedule and ongoing projects.
  • Act as a representative of the CCO in selected meetings and part of several crossfunctional teams across the organization, representing Commercial in companywide projects; take ownership for selected projects within the CCO area.
  • Identify and address gaps, challenges and successes across the commercial organization
  • Act as a point of contact between top management and employees.
  • Global project leadership responsibility with crossfunctional structured teams from all operational business units.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Leadership Team and Board Members.
  • Oversee key strategic commercial projects which underpin the success of the organization.
  • Focus on future/strategic challenges and opportunities, interacting extensively with within CCO and within other Grünenthal functions.
  • Advisory and executive function, representing the CCO in their absence, independent project management responsibilities.
  • Support in daytoday activities; plans agenda for the CLT meetings, prepares presentations for the CCO.

What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Degree educated; additional post graduate qualification such as an MBA, strongly preferred.
  • Multiple years of relevant work experience in project or process management roles (in the pharmaceutical industry or consulting).
  • Commercial experience in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Complex stakeholder management capability with an experience of being a strong business leader, ideally with past experience in team leadership with high curiosity and entrepreneurship
  • Strong organizational and project/process management skills gained in a global environment and in international projects.
  • Ablility to connect and align with various functions and projects to drive efficient working practice
  • Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams both locally and internationally.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, advanced presentation skills.
  • Gravitas and credibility to allow confident interactions with senior leaders members.
  • Capability to listen and to help provide structure to implementation and execution to team decisions.
  • More listening mode than telling mode as general attitude.
  • Disciplined to ensure follow up and tracking of team decisions and commitments.
  • Strategic big picture thinking with a longterm mindset.
