Research Assistant (f/m/d) in the field of "Quantitative Analysis of Reaction Processes in Electrolysers for Organic Electrosynthesis"

Ihre Aufgaben:

You contribute to the energy transition in the chemical industry via the Power-to-Chemicals concept.

Together with an interdisciplinary team, you will develop methods for a digital design and for the analysis of electrolyzers for organic electrosynthesis.

You will characterize and quantify the products and reaction processes experimentally and by means of simulations.

This will allow you to identify performance-determining steps and conditions that promise efficient production of high-quality chemicals using renewable electricity.

From your research results, you will derive essential and technically relevant knowledge about the process limitations and make recommendations for the optimal design of high-performance electrolysis systems.

We will be pleased to offer you the opportunity for a PhD.

Ihre Qualifikation:

You have an excellent university degree (Master) in the field of chemical engineering/process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related fields with basic knowledge in surface processes, reaction engineering or chemistry.

Furthermore, you show passion for scientific and interdisciplinary problem analysis and bring great interest in mathematical modelling (e.g. with Matlab, Python).

We expect self-initiative and independent work, creativity, the ability to work in a team and good communication skills in written and spoken German and English.

Salary:

Salary category 13, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.

Contract duration:

limited to 3 years
