The purpose of this position is to spread the message of the restored Church of Jesus Christ around the world.

This is accomplished in part through the creation of engaging, unified messaging with greater reach and efficiency. Church messages are delivered via television, film, web, print, mobile, social media, and other delivery channels in multiple languages. We always seek new, improved, and more innovative ways to bring the world unto Christ.


Reporting to the Area Digital Media Designer Supervisor, this role implements the design and layout for major Church publications like magazines, manuals, handbooks, pamphlets, brochures, websites.

It will closely cooperate with Design and Publishing staff at Church Headquarters and Translation Offices in the Area and build bridges between these divisions, supporting localization of Church materials.


  • Create the design and layout for translated language versions of assigned Church materials based on master templates and in accordance with the Church's Visual Style Guide.
  • Coordinate and process proof corrections with Area Translation Offices.
  • Consult with Area Translation Offices and Headquarters Publishing Division on needed design adjustments (fonts, justification, image positioning, etc.).
  • Prepare products for press.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or comparable.
  • Two years of experience, demonstrated through a professional portfolio.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) with indepth knowledge of InDesign.
  • Web publishing skills and experience an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. In addition, native or near native ability in at least one more Area language would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively and in a selfmotivated fashion in a mainly virtual work environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership as they work collaboratively with a team and across divisions.
  • Openness to receive and implement performance feedback.
  • Good negotiation and diplomacy skills to cooperate effectively with stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
  • Availability to work on flexible schedules to partner with staff in other time zones.
