EVP NCE > SBU NCE Construction & Operations > Contract, Costing & Bid Management

EPC & BOP department is responsible of biding and construct the Balance of Plant: Civil and Electrical Infrastructure (BOP) of the wind farms in Vestas.

The functions of the Department are to make in house the Basic Engineering of the BOP, to prepare the Request for Quotations for Subcontractors as well as the technical & economic proposals for the Clients.

We provide technical support to Sales and Sourcing in the negotiations and contracts with Clients and Subcontractors, supervise the Detail Engineering of the BOP and provide technical support during the Construction Works

Responsibilities

Wind farm Electrical Works Basic Engineering & Tendering
Wind farm Collector System, Substation and Power Transmission Line preliminary design to be done in house with the help of a draftsman, including MV Cables calculation, single line diagram of the Collector System and the Substation, Substation Layout, bill of quantities and technical requirements.
Preparation of the Request for Quotation to the Subcontractors, including the Electrical Works Basic Engineering and the Clients requirements.
Subcontractors offers evaluation
Preparation of the technical & economical proposals for the Clients, based on the received Subcontractors offers
Participation in negotiations and contracts with Clients and Subcontractors on everything related to the Wind Farm Electrical Works, by giving technical support to Sales and Sourcing departments. Preparation of contractual technical documentation (annexes).
Supervision of the Electrical Works Detail Engineering (to be outsourced)
To give support to Vestas Construction team during the Procurement and Construction Works

Qualifications

BSc or MSc Electrical Engineering with specialisation on Power Systems
Experience in actual Substations, Transimission Lines design and tendering process in an international environment
Familiarity with "AutoCAD" software
Other experiences such as substations construction & commissioning, overhead lines, wind energy and solar energy will be valued
Fluent in English language and a good standard of German

Competencies

Ability to perform engineering work: technical calculations, drawings, bill of quantities and technical reports
Ability in cost calculation and orientation to economical performance
Ability in negotiations with Clients and Subcontractors

Primary Lactation - Hamburg, Ge. Husum Ge or Stettin, Pl.
You will be required to travel around 50 days per year
