- Develop and execute plans and forecasts for infrastructure capacity, anticipating future needs and scaling resources accordingly to meet business requirements.
- Implement optimizations and enhancements to improve service performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and emerging technologies.
- Utilize automation tools such as Ansible to streamline and enhance the management and configuration of our infrastructure components and servers.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations on new infrastructure designs and initiatives, leveraging your expertise to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Participate in emergency response, On Call Duty rotations, and Postmortem Analysis, responding swiftly to incidents, conducting thorough root cause analysis, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- 4+ years of experience in Linux administration, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu, within a DevOps or SRE capacity, demonstrating a deep understanding of system architecture and operations.
- Proficiency in utilising alerting and telemetry tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, ElasticSearch, or similar platforms, to monitor, analyse, and troubleshoot system performance and reliability.
- Extensive experience in networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, firewalling, and troubleshooting, ensuring robust and secure communication between system components.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or PHP, enabling automation, scripting, and tool development to enhance operational efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containers and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes (k8s), facilitating scalable and resilient deployment of microservices and applications.
- Expertise in configuration management software such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, enabling consistent and automated management of infrastructure resources.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms, enabling continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software changes with reliability and efficiency.
- Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, SQLite, or Postgres, facilitating effective management and optimization of data storage and retrieval.
- Proven independence, proactivity, and a solution-oriented mindset, driving initiatives and resolving challenges effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions to complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
