Beschreibung

For our society to transition the mobility sector and energy grid to renewable energies, the industry needs to produce battery cells on a terawatt scale.

Manufacturing is at the forefront of this revolution to reduce scrap rates, accelerate ramp-ups of new production lines and shorten feedback loops to optimize processes more quickly.

At Siemens, we build manufacturing from the ground up: from automation controls to large scale distributed systems and analytics which are fundamentally changing the way that batteries are being produced

And we mean fundamentally:

our work will cut production times in half and save at least 5 percentage points of scrap for state-of-the-art Gigafactories.

Join us to work on the next generation of integrated electronics, event stream processing and AI.

You will be a part of the Battery Accelerator, an organization of multiple internal start-ups which self-responsibly engage with cell manufacturers worldwide, develop and execute pilots, and take complete ownership of their products.

As Scrum Master you will take responsibility for the agile software development of a multinational team working on an event-driven data architecture.

You will be in close collaboration with software architects and product owners.

In your role, you will make the difference in bridging agile development and internal start-ups to make sure our software ships to Gigafactories worldwide on time.

What you will do

  • Plan, organize and lead the agile working of an interdisciplinary and international team (~15 people) with full responsibility of the Scrum process and events
  • Continuously monitor, assess, and mitigate financial and project risks
  • Organize Scrum rituals (i.e., dailies, reviews), analyze sprint progress and visualize progress for the team to keep track of meaningful KPIs
  • Foster the agile mindset among all team members
  • Design and continuously optimize internal processes to find an efficient and sustainable project structure
  • Directly align with the product owner of the data architecture team and keep close contact with project leads from ongoing pilots to think through and prioritize incremental developments
  • Work from home and anywhere in the world, willingness to travel to Germany for inperson team workshops at least once per quarter
What you will bring

  • A Scrum Master Certificate, preferably profound understanding of agile software development practices like Kanban, Lean Thinking or Extreme Programming
  • 10 years of professional experience in agile software development and the Scrum process, preferably for largescale distributed systems as Scrum Master, product owner or project manager
  • Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and empathy to empower a multinational and fastpaced team
  • Practical experience with microservice architectures, distributed computing (i.e. K8s, Docker), data processing (i.e. Apache Kafka, Flink, Spark, ksqlDB) and API design are a plus
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to communicate your reasoning clearly
  • Min 5 years of leadership experience with technical development teams
  • You are fluent in English. Additional languages (i.e. German) are a plus.
  • Formal qualifications: excellent university degree or equivalent in the field of computer science.
