Duties:


DUTY 1:

Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated information security program.


DUTY 2:
Executes and enforces compliance with the organization personnel security program.

DUTY 3:
Serves as the organization's representative for Industrial Security issues.

DUTY 4:
Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a twoyear DCIPS trial period.
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
  • Employee must maintain current certifications

Qualifications:


  • In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
  • This is a GG12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.

Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology and practices.

Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies.


Note:

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • 1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices.
  • 2. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
  • 3. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
  • 4. Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization.
  • 5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • 6. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE:

Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.


VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE:

Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:


  • Position is designated specialsensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligencerelated Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A nondisclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents
