Director of Business Development

JOB LOCATION Hallbergmoos, Germany


As a member of the Thermal Comfort Systems (TCS) team, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for all commercial growth activity for TCS innovation products, including FlexAir and Thermal Comfort Module.

They will be responsible for seeking out new business opportunities through customer relationships, TCS component opportunities, and seat assembly opportunities.

This position will also require leadership to logically work through issues, understand general market and trends and provide strategic feedback to assist in decision making for the sales organization.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Identify and develop new TCS business opportunities
  • Coordination of opportunities and quotations with TCS component and seating JIT teams
  • Prospecting new business and direct interface with internal and external customers
  • Preparation of quotations and follow up for new business awards
  • Providing insight and direction on customer market trends and strategy
  • Identify key decision makers at potential customers and develop business relationships to secure new business.
  • Achieve targeted sales growth and roadmaps for continued improvement
  • Close alignment with TCS innovation engineering and costing teams

Your Qualifications:


  • A track record of obtaining new business and business development
  • Strong business and financial understanding to guide team on strategic direction for growth opportunities and footprint expansion
  • Exhibit professionalism and an ability to interact with customers, senior management, and various departments throughout the company

Bonus If You Have:


  • Technical understanding of seating, trim, and TCS products and manufacturing preferred
  • Experience introducing new products or expanding into a new market
