We are looking to recruit as of 1st July 2024 a
technical assistant (M/F/d) to join the
cell service / double Habloid of
KWS SAAT SE & Co.
Einbeck, Germany. The contract is
full-time, initially for two years as maternity and parental leave cover.
Your tasks:
- Carry out all sterile laboratory work steps in connection with the production of doubled haploid plants by using tissue culture procedures
- Active involvement in the invitro plant sampling process for ploidy and marker analysis
- Support the maintenance of the plant material in the short and long term storage
- Support the preparation of solutions and gels for plant cell and tissue culture and microbiology
- Support other processes within cell service
Your profile:
- Completed training in the field of natural sciences/horticulture is an advantage
- Practical experience in laboratory work, in invitro culture, and working in sterile environment is desirable
- Good knowledge of MS-Office (Word and excel)
- High degree of commitment, willingness to learn and personal initiative
- Fluent in German is mandatory
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Responsible and flexible way of working
