THAT'S WHY WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DIGITAL (SENIOR) ART DIRECTOR


The (Senior) Digital/Social Art Director will work alongside a creative partner within the creative department, to conceive, develop and produce inspirational and effective social and digital content for a top global motorsports account.

They are expected to take Client's brief/content plans, and by thinking outside the box, conceptualize creative and innovative solutions including best use of social and visual elements for social media campaigns and pieces of content.

They will also need to have basic editing skills to be able to cut their own content when needed.

The (Senior) Digital Art Director will together with their creative partner be responsible for leading and guiding teams on projects assigned their responsibility by the CD.

Realizing the work and involve, planning account, the production department and Client to deliver impactful final work.

As Senior Digital Art Director you are fully experienced level 3 (management and delivering projects) and have started to take on the responsibility of level 4 and are developing your leadership and people management skills.


A DAY IN YOUR LIFE

Agency Role
> Based on creative brief have a persuasive and confident approach to creativity to develop concepts, content, visuals and ideas, often in partnership with a Copywriter
> Be able to translate these ideas into impactful executions with a strong record of creating immaculate art and content that stands out from the crowd
> Be able to do simple video editing where needed
> Create work that builds on an understanding of the target audience and able to address the business challenges of the Client as laid out in Creative Brief
> Develop creative concepts that are forward thinking, original and potentially award winning
> Responsible for the own performance as well for leading and guiding teams on assigned projects
> Supervise junior staff, train them in relevant skill sets and support them to expand their creative talent


Client Role
> Motivate and push Clients towards fresh executing ideas
> Present work to Client in a compelling and persuasive manner
> Able to argue/defend creative rationale with cohesive and grounded arguments.
> Ensure feedback from Client and Account is objective based and not executional
> Confidence in building a rapport with Clients and nurturing good working relationships
> Advise Client on all technical/visual recommendations to ensure an optimal translation of the idea in the produced work

> The ability to think creatively and translate ideas into concepts and executions within the budget parameters
> A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of Clients.
> An eye for detail and a desire for perfection across all executional aspects
> A passion for craft and the willingness to learn from other creative professionals
> Keep up to date with popular culture and trends including digital opportunities
> Mastered composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces
> Common programs e.g. photoshop, illustrator, Premier Pro, etc.
> Comprehensive image manipulation and creation skills
> Advanced knowledge in guidance of photo shootings, knowledge of social media and extensive practical knowledge in realization of TV productions and other picture formats
> Understands when to refer to account and other departments on Client requests for revisions and realization
> Understands the social landscape of original content and usages.
> Is familiar with production requirements and techniques and their related executional costs impact.


Other things that would make you kick arse in this role

Demonstrate a complete understanding of:
> Colour theory and colour relationships
> Typographic terms that identify type forms
