Job description:


The Project Development Programme (PDP) supports the energy transition in partner countries through preparatory project development in the field of renewable energies, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

The aim is to contribute to decarbonization in the partner countries.

The focus is on the introduction and use of proven solutions for renewable energies, energy efficiency and, with hydrogen also in the production of green hydrogen for industrial energy consumersPDP staff identify project partners in developing countries, especially in industry, who need advice.

The project development includes data collection, its technical and economic evaluation and contact initiations with European/German solution providers.

Regionally, the activities are concentrated in 15 countries, with the focus on hydrogen currently being in Ghana, Jordan, Kenya and Vietnam.


Your tasks:


  • Strategy development, planning and implementation of PDP measures in the field of hydrogen and PowertoX (PtX) for specific target countries
- coordination and communication with GIZ's internal and external implementation partners
- definition of the project development strategy for the hydrogen sector
- responsibility for the successful implementation of reference projects
- mobilization of German companies to participate in or cooperate with the Energy Export Initiative

  • Responsibility for Event management, monitoring and knowledge management

Your profile:


  • University degree in engineering, political science, economics or in another relevant field
  • Several years of experience in the project development of renewable energies and energy efficiency projects, especially in the field of hydrogen and PtX
  • Several years of experience in working with the private sector and their approaches to energy management
  • Adept in the processing and written presentation of technical content, ability to familiarize oneself very quickly with new issues
  • Very good selforganization
  • Loyalty and reliability as well as high motivation and ability to work in a team
  • Fluent German and English; further language skills (especially French) are an advantage

Notes:

This job is suited to a full or a part-time position.

The willingness for frequent business trips is required.
