Aufgaben / Tasks

Organize and orchestrate the activities of the Design System team, ensuring the successful launch, operation, and growth of the Design System as a service.
Strategically align and drive the vision and backlog of the Design System to support the company's design goals.
Design, create, and maintain the FTI design system, fostering consistency and efficiency in design practices.
Drive the implementation of the FTI design system, standards, and tools across the entire organization, promoting a unified and seamless user experience.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Stakeholders.
Provide comprehensive training and support to colleagues on design system implementation and usage, ensuring widespread adoption.
Advocate for excellent product design practices and facilitate product design visibility across all areas, fostering a collaborative environment.

Successfully collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including top management, design, and software heads, as well as external stakeholders like customers, consumers, and product/platform owners. Your efforts will drive the necessary transformation to support the continuous development of bestinclass user experiences.

Profil / Qualifikation

Solid experience with Design Systems, demonstrating proficiency in project management and stakeholder management.
Proficient in verbal, written, and visual communication in English and, ideally, German. You can effectively articulate the value of design within both design and business contexts.
Vast experience with Figma, utilizing it as a primary tool for design tasks.
Handson experience in managing a design system, ensuring its effectiveness and usability.
Professional background in digital design, with experience as a UX designer, UI designer, interaction designer, interface designer, or similar role.
Wellversed in designing for various platforms, devices, and screen sizes, understanding the nuances and requirements of each.
Goaloriented and highly initiativedriven, capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
Experience with design thinking and agile development methodologies, incorporating usercentered research to inform design decisions.
Excellent skills in identifying user expectations and needs, ensuring that designs meet user requirements effectively.
Persuasive communication and collaboration skills, fostering productive interactions with team members and stakeholders.
Nice to have but not mandatory: Basic expertise in web markup (HTML5, CSS3), and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React.
