The Head Talent Management & Learning, will have the opportunity to shape the future of our organization by creating a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

The role is to inspire and empower our employees to reach their full potential, ensuring their growth aligns with our business objectives.

Collaborating with P&O, business leaders, and stakeholders, the role will lead a team of dedicated professionals to drive talent initiatives and cultivate organizational capabilities


Your Key Responsibilities:


Learning and Development:

  • Craft a holistic learning and development framework that addresses the evolving needs of our employees across all levels and fosters their professional growth.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and design relevant training programs, both internally and externally, that enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, encouraging knowledge sharing and innovation throughout the organization. Establishing the global L&D vision, strategy and guiding principles
  • Establishing the operating and organizational models for learning; driving a robust global center of expertise
  • Leading global governance structures, bodies and process for learning to determine major investment decisions for critical capability areas & technology
  • Defining a global communication and engagement strategy for learning (aligned with P&O communications)
  • Identifying and managing solutions to support leaders and managers to drive workforce development

Succession Planning:

  • Collaborate with P&O and business leaders to create robust succession plans, ensuring a seamless transition and development of key talent.
  • Implement talent assessment and calibration processes to identify highpotential individuals and facilitate their growth within the organization.
  • Foster a culture of mentorship and coaching to empower employees in their career progression.

Employee Engagement and Retention:

  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention.
  • Leverage employee surveys and feedback sessions to gain insights and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with P&O and business leaders to create and implement strategies for recognition, rewards, and employee wellbeing.

Performance Management:

  • Embedding a performance management system that aligns individual goals with our strategic objectives, fostering a highperformance culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in setting performance expectations, delivering feedback, and fostering growth.
  • Create talent review processes to identify highpotential employees and develop targeted development plans.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Exceptional assessment and interviewing skills, with a strong command of assessment and selection methodologies, instruments, and processes.
  • Multiple years of proven work experience in global strategic learning and development functions with demonstrated measurable results in a largescale multinational corporation
  • Able to lead, influence and engage teams successfully to deliver large scale L&D projects
  • Monitor and manage budgeting process aligned to global Sandoz strategy
  • Able to work both strategically and operationally: pivot and adjust L&D plans and initiatives across multiple markets to respond to changing business needs
  • Experience working with external vendors to design and deliver impactful horizontal and vertical development solutions for target audiences
  • Proven ability to navigate in a matrix environment and mobilize collaboration across Sandoz
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and business acumen, with the ability to navigate through complexity
  • Highly organised with a rigorous approach to work, excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage relationships with Senior Leaders on the key deliverables and partner with your P&O peers to deliver a talent agenda.
  • Previous experience in leading, coaching and mentoring diverse teams
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate complex initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with P&O technology systems and tools, including talent management software, and lea
