Main tasks

The BMBF-founded programme 'iSTAR - integrative Advanced Clinician Scientists Targeting Inflammatory and Infectious Disease' at the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) supports excellent clinician scientists to develop independence and leadership in the field of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.

The call is open to scientifically and clinically highly-qualified clinicians,
- who have already or will shortly receive their certification as medical specialist (Facharzt/-ärztin),
- who have a proven and outstanding research profile with a focus on inflammatory or infectious diseases,
- who have already successfully secured third-party funding.
