Associate Director - Cost Management


As an

In this role you will:


  • Coordinate and manage a team of Senior Cost Managers to ensure the quality and timely commercial delivery of multiple, simultaneous data centre projects in Mainland Europe
  • Be a client facing representative commercially guiding the process of project delivery from precontract estimates through to delivery of the final built assets
  • Ensure best commercial practice and quality are implemented at each stage
  • Provide critical analysis on cost reporting and cashflow
  • Support the Key Account Manager with region specific metrics for internal and external reporting
  • Support the UK management team in the development of fee structures
  • Work alongside a UK management team in the growth of an existing key data centre client
  • Be responsible for the growth and development of current and new clients
  • Assist with staff recruitment to deliver existing commissions and identify resource requirements to increase account delivery
  • Effectively drive results, provide feedback and direction and build relationships with leaders and team members
  • Manage the tender and bid process from initial documentation through to analysis and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
  • Oversee project spend by reviewing and signing off valuations and variations for your team
  • Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication
  • Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency
  • Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have grown your experience over 7 years in Cost Management with increasing levels of leadership
  • Have experience in pre
- and post-contract cost management within the Data Centre sector

  • Have a degree or comparable experience in a cost management or quantity surveying related discipline
  • Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun
