YOUR TEAM:


The Vehicle and Cloud Platform is composed of products like the VW.OS, the next generation of in-vehicle SW platform, or the VW Automotive Cloud, a cloud platform dedicated to automotive online services.

Moreover, it covers enabling technologies like data collection and management, updateability and digital lifecycle management of all vehicle software, connectivity solutions, mobile online services and data management.

Our department is responsible for managing all of CARIAD's products for the Vehicle and Cloud Platform over their lifetime.

Your division takes care of the requirements of the customer product portfolio for the platform for the new digital ecosystem of software enabled cars of the Volkswagen group, as well as the process.

We act as entrepreneurs and business owners to secure state of the art customer functions, competitiveness and profitability. Our goal is the preservation of a unified architecture base and cross-platform strategy.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Help build a stateoftheart, secure, compliant and scalable automotive capabilities stack within your system boundaries as part of the overarching automotive data platform for connectedcars of the Volkswagen group
  • Manage customer & market analysis, create requirement articulation and business case calculations, and stakeholder management
  • Analyze technical feasibility and costeffectiveness of requirements together with various interdisciplinary stakeholders
  • Develop, present and represent concepts, business cases and decision templates across all levels of the company to prepare product decisions for the vehicle and cloud platform
  • Define, explore and support the implementation of enablers in collaboration with agile teams to evolve solution intent and determine the capacity allocation during product increment enablement work
  • Work closely with the solution architect to develop, analyze, split and realize the capabilities stack. Participate in planning, evaluation, definition and highlevel decisions of the system to ensure consistency in how designs and tradeoffs are managed across the solution train
  • Establish a continuous improvements process within the release train to help identify optimization opportunities, especially with enabler epics

WHO YOU ARE:


  • Indepth understanding regarding scalable architectural styles and patterns for IoT devices
  • Good understanding of distributed data processing software and platform experiences with automotive use cases is a plus
  • Academic degree in computer science, information technology, economics, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience as a product manager and / or product owner in the software environment
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems and argue convincingly through your experience in modeling and optimizing business cases
  • Strong communication skills as well as a customerdriven and team mindset
  • Fluent in English and German
