Job Overview
Qualifications
- Degree/Education: Must hold a doctoral degree directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology or a Master of Social Worker (M.S.W) degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Experience: Must have minimum of one year experience as a clinical psychologist or licensed clinical social worker; at least 12 months of direct handson experience in the last 24 months with computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use of an automated medical record system.
- Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support
- Must be proficient with using electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
- Must have current health requirements to include immunizations, vaccines, and physical exam at time of placement
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Screens and interviews patients and performs bio-psychological social evaluations.
- Develops and implements initiatives to mitigate psychosocial stressors and risks and optimize Airman performance.
- Exercises full professional responsibility in psychological consultation, education, and training to military commanders/senior leaders, other mental health professionals, and medical staff.
- Provides evidencebased, clinical psychology services.
