Key activities that you will be managing:

  • Further developing and implementing a utility-scale battery storage strategy in Germany
  • considering both stand-alone BESS projects and co-located with solar PV
  • Building, leading, and further developing a team of project managers with a focus on storage projects
  • Supporting storage project managers internally and externally in achieving their project goals
  • Managing energy storage projects in all stages from initiation through permitting, design, procurement and planning to investment decision, i.e. to status constructionready
  • Having full responsibility for management of project budgets, programs, and schedules from earlystage development to point of construction
  • Managing external service providers with purchase orders and contracts including planning consultants, land agents, and technical experts
  • Engaging with legal, land, compliance, health and safety, commercial, grid connection and engineering colleagues to integrate these specialisms in your projects
  • Supporting the projects through construction stage and in operation
  • Regular reporting on your project progress to the team and management
  • Stakeholder management (internal and external) especially landowners, agents and local community

Qualifications:


Your profile:


  • Strong understanding of the BESS business case and relevant regulatory framework in Germany
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including several years of leadership experience or at least a very good technical knowledge paired with the ambition to take on a leadership role
  • Excellent teamplayer with very good interpersonal and communication skills, project management skills
  • Commercial drive and motivation to achieve outstanding results
  • Competence in working in an international environment
  • Degree in Renewable energy, business, engineering or other relevant field
  • Fluency in German and English
