Responsibilities:

Perform optoelectronic testing of optical components and Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs)
Develop Python scripts to automate tests
Analyze experimental results and evaluate component/system performance
Participation in meetings with colleagues to present and discuss results

Required qualifications/skills:

At least 4 completed semesters in electrical engineering, physics, optics or related discipline
Fundamental understanding of active and passive optical devices
Practical experience in an electronics/optical laboratory
Programming experience in Python/Matlab or similar for automation of instrument control and data acquisition
Ability to work in a team and present results, also to international colleagues
Attention to detail and willingness to produce detailed documentation
Fluent English language skills

Preferred qualifications/skills:

Bachelor's or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, physics, optics or related discipline
Practical experience with Keysight measurement equipment
German language skills
