Duties:


  • This position serves as a Maintenance Management Specialist responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting maintenance and supply activities for Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) Poland.
  • Visit maintenance sites to observe operations and ensure units follow appropriate procedures to maintain equipment. Coordinate with units to adjust job priorities in response to new requirements such as training exercises, troop deployments, etc.
  • Monitor contractor logistics support with emphasis in maintenance, supply, and transportation contractual programs. Monitor contractor performance to ensure an acceptable level of performance and customer support.
  • Track funding requirements using Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). Process contractor invoices, purchase requests, daily manning reports, and other financial data.
  • Analyze maintenance activities and make recommendations for improving operations. Evaluate maintenance policy to assess impact on material readiness. Review the maintenance portion of mobilization exercises to determine effectiveness.

  • Driving an automobile is required and a USAREUR driver's license is required within 30 days of arrival onsite.
  • The location of this position is in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Selectee will receive Temporary Change in Station (TCS) orders to Zagan, Poland to serve a 24month, unaccompanied tour.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a nofee passport and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa, if authorized.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:

Education:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Maintenance Management.


OR

Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.

Add the two percentages.

  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
  • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • This is a Materiel Maintenance Management Career Field position.
  • Employees who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis only.
  • Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
  • Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
  • Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI volume 1250.
  • The initial length of this overseas tour is 24 MONTHS UNACCOMPANIED.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
  • Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized.
  • Access to Medical and Dental Care in Zagan, Poland is extremely limited.
  • Employees (and their family members) who require medical or dental care in overseas areas may experience severe limitations accessing medical care both on the military installation and the local economy, and also could incur costly medical expenses.
