Ericsson Antenna System (EAS) is offering a complete range of innovative high-quality Antenna and Antenna Line Devices as an integral part of Ericsson Radio Systems.

We are now looking for a committed Antenna System Architect in Rosenheim, Germany. Our focus is on advanced passive and active antenna systems from 2G to 5G and beyond. We're engaged in antenna systemization to improve overall system performance, drive and secure antenna technology and development.

The team is involved in all aspects of the product development process, technical studies, pre-development and designs for high volume products.

Your role will include antenna system engineering activities such as:
requirement analysis, system design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.
Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work


What you will do
The work as an Antenna System Architect includes, but is not limited to:

  • Taking the E2E responsibility for the architecture of the antenna platform / design base and product
  • Perform technical coordination within antenna platform / design base development projects
  • Stay informed about ongoing development in the product area
  • Perform reviews within antenna platform development projects
  • Analyze Requirements to understand how the introduction of new features/ functions can impact the existing product and the test scope.
  • Define requirements and antenna platform / design base architecture
  • Analyze system wide impacts of requirements on architecture
  • Take part in and understand technical strategies for own product area and provide fast input towards product management and sales
  • Act as a mentor and coach for senior colleagues
  • Identify, initiate and drive improvements in products and processes, e.g. antenna simulation and rapid prototyping
  • Acts as a competence builder in the organization through presentations, lectures, and/or workshops.

You will bring

  • Master of Science, Ph.
D., Post Doc or similar degrees in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics, preferably with emphasis on RF antenna design

  • 10+ years of work experience within system engineering and/or RF antenna development
  • Good understanding of cellular radio networks and extensive knowledge in radio and RF antenna technologies, products and related standards
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex systemlevel problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork and leadership skills
  • Selfmotivated with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Accurate and to the point ability to take a stand and work thru towards key stakeholders
  • Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken
