The job

This PhD position will be appointed to the BMBF junior research group
Biophotovoltaics. The position will be funded for 4 years starting from , or earliest time possible.

Your tasks

  • Establish a mathematic model to simulate the process kinetics on the different process interfaces, using bioprocess engineering and electrochemical process engineering approaches;
  • Validate the models with essential wetlab measurements;
  • Communicating with our project partners to refine the research strategy to achieve the project milestones;
  • Presenting project progress at national and international scientific conferences;
  • Writing progress report, and publishing project results in highranked scientific journals.

Profile:


  • M.S. in electrochemistry, biotechnology, (bio)chemical engineering, bioinformatics or related area;
  • Experience with mathematical equations and/or process kinetics;
  • Computing and programming skills for data process and modelling;
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills;
  • High selfmotivation, initiatives and willingness to take the challenges in an interdisciplinary project;
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing.
