Your tasks:


  • Independent research on a doctoral project within the overall research framework of the Chair of Training and Human Movement Science (e.g. biomechanical/neurophysiological diagnostics and control in the areas of tactics, strength and technique, motor learning in sport and therapy)
  • Publication of scientific papers in international and national journals and presentation of research results at conferences and workshops
  • Conducting courses in BA, BEd, MEd or MSc sports science
  • Supervision of final theses
  • Support in the selfadministration of the chair

Your profile:


  • In addition to the general requirements according to public services law, applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in 57 of the _Hochschulgesetz_ of Rhineland-Palatinate.
  • A successfully completed scientific university degree in sports science, physics, psychology or computer science
  • Experience in the field of biomechanical and/or neurophysiological (EEG) data collection and processing is desirable
  • Ideally experience in the field of scriptbased software programming (e.g. Matlab, R, Python) and in dealing with machine learning methods
  • Strong interest in research
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • High level of motivation and initiative and independence
  • Aboveaverage ability to grasp things quickly and willingness to learn
  • Experience in research and teaching is desirable
  • Good teamwork and communication skills

The position is paid according to
EG 13 TV-L and to be filled immediately. The position is limited to a period of three years.
