Boeing Deutschland is seeking an experienced
Public Affairs and Government Relations Specialist (f,m,d) to join the Boeing International team in
Berlin, Germany.


Over the last decades Boeing has continuously expanded its customer base and has built a large own footprint of multiple activities in Germany.

Boeing has also become a respected partner of the local aerospace ecosystem which includes relations to universities and research institutes, contacts to federal and state governments and government agencies as well as partnerships with over 100 suppliers who deliver components and systems to our commercial, defense and service businesses.

Just recently Boeing has been contracted and down selected for two major defense programs which will increase our defense footprint and enhance our relationship with the Bundeswehr.

To that end Boeing is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and engaged professional to serve as a valuable contributor toward our overall country strategy objectives and business units initiatives as well as to drive Boeings sustainability agenda in-country.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Maintain close market monitoring, analyze and understand customer needs, market trends and future requirements,
  • Monitor competitors, industries and industry associations strategies and evaluate current and potential implications for the Boeing business interests,
  • Collaborate with Boeing business units (commercial, defense and services) and relevant functions (e.g. Enterprise Sustainability, Engineering, etc.) to understand and help advance their strategies, goals, and business activities
  • Develop and maintain relations with government officials and political stakeholders in order to:
  • build stable contacts and develop positive Boeing perceptions and reputation
- provide high value intel on political dynamics of interest to Boeing;
- monitor legislative, regulatory and political activities in areas of interest;

  • Track and analyze pending and existing legislation, news releases and public policy issues in the areas of aviation environmental policies, national climate policies, and the wider ESG space
  • Coordinate enterprise projects and company events with government and industry partners.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Meaningful experience in government relations or a related field
  • Experience in Politics, Campaigns, Public affairs and/or issue advocacy
  • Relevant experience multitasking and working in a team environment
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Work experience within the government, political organizations, think tanks, or other related roles

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Experience in government or government relations
  • Strong passion for politics, public policy, political science, or related fields.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).
