Device Interface Solutions is a growing team within Teradyne's Semiconductor Test Division focused on designing custom interface hardware, the advanced PCB Assembly that connects our customer's DUTs (Device Under Test) with our ATE Testers.


Responsibilities:


  • As a Technical Project Lead, you will be responsible to lead and manage all the engineering activities of new product design and development project with a high degree of independence and creativity.
  • Work closely with customers (both internal and external) to gather requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Perform project sizing (scope, cost, schedule)
  • Create, track and manage detailed project plan and keep customers informed of project status
  • Track, assess and communicate impact of changes (change management)
  • Drive PCB schematic and layout design, working with internal PCB design team
  • Drive SI/PI performance optimization, working with internal simulation team
  • Manage design reviews and milestone approvals
  • Understand our supplier's DFM rules/requirements/capabilities, and guide design accordingly
  • Define PCB materials, stackup, layout rules
  • Provide continuous technical support for products already in the field
  • Travel to Teradyne and customer sites as required
  • Attend periodic nighttime meetings with customers or teams in other regions (EU, Asia)

Basic Qualifications & Skills:


  • Deep understanding of High Speed/RF/Mixed Signal PCB Design
  • Ability to understand datasheets / select components / find or approve substitute parts
  • Understanding of SI/PI simulation results and optimization techniques
  • PCB Design Tool Suite (Cadence Allegro HDL / PCB Editor a strong plus)
  • Strong Knowledge of PCB Fabrication process
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • The Technical Project Lead needs to be very organized and detail oriented to keep many different parallel tasks on track and ensure nothing is overlooked
  • Goal oriented personality that can see how the individual issues and tasks fit with the overall project plan to ensure project success
  • Problem solving skills are a must, looking for someone who can think outside the box and come up with solutions a challenge the team
  • Other Preferred Skills (not required):
  • General Knowledge of Semiconductor and ATE industry
  • Project Management experience
  • MS Project (Scheduling tool)
  • Familiarity with PDM and PLM tools

Education:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field

Minimum of 3-5 years working in Hardware/PCB Development or related Field
Familiar with Remote/Hybrid work environment
