We're searching for a Head of People & Culture for Europe to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators on a
maternity cover basis.


As an ambassador of people, culture and our edyn ideology (vision, purpose and values) you will be accountable for the end to end life cycle of employees across the EU operating platform.

You will deliver People & Culture in a consistent, timely, legally compliant, and most importantly soulful and human way. You will be the owner of Group People platforms and tools and will work closely with wider People Team to ensure the edyn ideology is nurtured across the group


A role less ordinary.

  • Working with the Learning and Development Team, identify Line Manager's training needs in relation to HR matters and create and run workshops, webinars and video training in reaction to these needs
  • Reviewing, analysing and creating HRMI to tailor and target your focus across the European estate to drive 'HR' key deliverables including Engagement, Absence Management, Retention, Recruitment, Onboarding, Equality, Performance Management etc.
  • Building a respected and trusted relationship with Managers across the European operation, including Senior Managers so that you become the 'go to' for providing trusted and at times confidential advice and guidance
  • Carrying out regular People Reviews/ audits with Regional Leaders to provide advice, guidance and coaching on employee relations and end to end employee life cycle management
  • Ensuring you and the wider P&C Admin Support Team remain up to date with HR employment and general HR and Payroll legislation where applicable
  • Timely set up of employment contracts, policies, payroll and benefits provisions in new European countries as we open new properties. Liaising with consultants, lawyers and providers to achieve this
  • Working in partnership with the Head of Learning & Development, Head of Talent Attraction and Head of P&C, UK, to ensure the holistic employee (and manager) experience and People Strategy is truly lived across Europe and enacted consistently across the UK & Europe

Who you are.

  • At least 3 years experience in an HR Advisor/ Manager role in Europe within a global company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A strong relationship builder and influencer, with a strong sense of confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of employment law
  • Coaching and training skills
  • Great attention to detail, with impeccable time management skills
  • Finds enjoyment in variety and accountability
  • Able to speak English, German and ideally French

We believe in working flexibly - this includes flexibility in work location, working days (including weekends and bank holidays in operations) and working hours.

Based in Berlin primarily with regular travel to our sites across Europe is essential, along with regular travel to the UK where the central team is based.

There is also capacity to work from home at times too. You will be able to work flexibly.


Our core working hours are 40 hours a week.
